Alberta sends 389 Seniors to Canada Senior 55Plus Games
There were 3000 senior athletes from across the 10 provinces, Yukon, and NWT, gathered in Quebec City for the 2024 Canada Senior Games. While most players are between age 55 and 80, our eldest included a 93 year-old man and 91 year old woman. Alberta’s Flag Bearers were Norma Dawson from High River and Doug Campbell from Cochrane; both have competed since 2009 and held executive positions on the non-profit boards of AB 55Plus and Big Country Senior Sports Society (“BCSSS”).
Team Alberta finished Second in total points, First in Gold medals, Second in Silvers, Third in Bronze place finishes.
