Did you know the Springbank Heritage Club is not just a place to vote during election time? The Springbank Heritage Club is a not-for-profit organization created for the benefit and enjoyment of older adults age 50+ living in Springbank and surrounding communities. Annual membership is only $50. Ready to engage in old or new activities and meet some new friends? Each month members enjoy regularly scheduled activities:
- Mondays for Fitness Class and Pickleball
- Tuesdays for Games / Pool, Singing, and monthly Potluck
- Wednesdays for Fitness Class, Crafts
- Thursdays for Pickleball and Sewing
- Fridays for Fitness Class, monthly Book Club, and Pool / Billiards.
Special events happening in June:
- Monday, June 1st at 5:00 pm – Harmony’s Creative Keys Ukulele Group is a multi-age group of ukulele students from Harmony, who will perform some popular “oldies” for us! It will be a great mini-concert filled with songs that you recognize and can sing along to.
- Book Club will be held on Friday, June 12th at 10:15 am. This month’s Page Turners Book Club will be led by Deb Kerr for the book titled The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. The novel explores themes of connection, forgiveness, the passage of time, and the power of written communication. Sybil is a 73-year-old woman navigating the complexities of aging, family, and personal reflection. She is the divorced mother of two adult children and one deceased child, and she struggles with questions about her adoption and birth parents. Everyone is welcome to join! - Tuesday, June 23rd from 7:00 to 8:30 pm – Pie and Presentation: Estate Planning with Cherie Baruss. Join us for what promises to be a very timely and informative evening! Cherie is a lawyer with 25 years of experience and a wealth of professional estate planning knowledge. She will review the basics of estate planning, including a review of unique documents and considerations, why having these documents is important, typical complications that can occur with estate planning and how to address them, and the cost to have these documents prepared. Following a brief presentation, there will be lots of time to ask questions! To reserve your spot(s), you can either sign up at the club or by email to Chris at cjhbrodeur@gmail.com.
