As summer winds down and Parliament finally returns for the fall session, I am eager to get to work in the House of Commons. From the farm fields of Southern Alberta to the halls of Ottawa, I want you to know: your priorities guide my work every day.
Thank you to everyone in Foothills who took time this summer to share their thoughts about our country and our communities. Whether at local events, farm visits, or chatting in your business, you were clear about one thing: rural Alberta feels ignored by the Liberal government. I want you to know, I’m fighting for you, Conservatives are fighting for you.
This fall, our Conservative team will focus on four big challengesfacing Canadians: the cost-of-living crisis, job losses, rising crime, and immigration.
Cost of Living: Conservatives have been warning about this for a long time. However, the Liberals’ failure to act has only made things worse. Prices keep going up — groceries, gas, heating—and fam- ilies in Foothills are feeling the squeeze. Too many are forced to make tough choices every day. We will fight to end the increasing taxes, out of control spending and other harmful policies driving in-flation, so you can keep more of your hard-earned money.
Jobs: Alberta’s energy and resource sectors are the heart of our economy. However, the Liberal government’s green agenda keeps attacking these industries, holding back economic opportuni-ties and costing Albertans thousands of good-paying jobs. Our plan is simple: support responsible resource development, cut unnecessary regulations, and create real opportunities for growth and investment right here at home.
Crime: Crime rates are rising, and people are losing faith in our justice system. We will push for stronger support for police, tougher sentences for serious criminals, jail not bail, and com-monsense policies that keep our communities safe.
Immigration: Uncontrolled illegal border crossings and poorly managed immigration are putting a strain on our systems and shaking public trust. Conservatives will work to secure our borders, en-force immigration laws, and make sure newcomers integrate successfully into Canadian society.
This fall, our Conservative team will bring forward clear, practical solutions to these problems — solutions to put Canadians first, protect our economy, and bring hope back to our communities. We will support those policies we believe will benefit Canadians, propose solutions to the prob-lems facing Canadians and oppose Liberal legislation which will make life more unaffordable.
It’s not just about the big issues. I’m also focused on supporting our local farmers and food produc-ers — key anchors to economic growth in our communities. This means fighting for better market access, cutting red tape, and promoting initiatives to help strengthen our local economy.
Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient agricultural sector to benefit all of Foothills — and all of Canada.
