Bragg Creek Trails – Jun 2025

Summer Volunteering, Safety Milestones & BCT News!

Summer is when trail maintenance kicks into high gear across the outdoor world, and Bragg Creek Trails is no exception. With increased use, changing conditions, and a long list of well loved routes needing a little TLC, this is the perfect season to lend a hand and help us keep the trails safe, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.

Whether you’re looking to give back, get outside, or gain volunteer experience, BCT offers a variety of ways to get involved.

Trail Days — Dig In and Give Back

Trail work is a rewarding, hands-on way to connect with nature and your community. Our volunteer trail days are open to individuals, families, and groups. Whether you’re completing volunteer hours for a job or school application, organizing a team- building day, or just eager to get your boots dirty, we’d love to have you out.

Not sure what to expect? Check out our YouTube Channel for short videos that walk you through what a trail day looks like, the tools we use, and how our crew leaders keep things safe, fun, and tailored to all ability levels.

Trail Hosting — Help People Enjoy the Trails Safely

If swinging a Pulaski isn’t your thing, Trail Hosting might be! Based next to the West Bragg Provincial Day Use Area parking lot, our hosts greet visitors, provide up to date trail information, and share tips on wildlife safety and trail etiquette. It’s a great way to contribute and connect, without the mud. Training and resources are provided.

We’re also proud to share that BCT has recently been awarded a Certification of Recognition (COR) following an audit of our Occupational Health and Safety Program. This is a major milestone for us and reflects our commitment to keeping our workers and volunteers safe while we care for the places we all love.

Mark Your Calendar: BCT’s 20th Annual General Meeting
  • June 2 at 6:30 PM at the Snowbird Chalet in Bragg Creek.

We’d love to see our volunteers and supporters at this year’s AGM! Come celebrate a season of trail care and community and hear what’s ahead.
