Road Bans
Foothills County Council approved the Spring Road Bans on County roads as of March 13.

Highway 2 and 338 Avenue Interchange
Highwood MLA RJ Sigurdson has announced that Budget 2024 will provide planning and engineering funding in support of a future interchange over Highway 2 at 338 Avenue in Foothills County.

For many years this has been a safety issue for residents of Foothills County and travellers along this section of Highway 2.

Foothills Regional Airport (formerly High River Regional Airport) 
The airport ownership has been completed and the changeover has been made to Foothills County. A new board has been appointed and are excited to get to work. For more information go to: www.foothillsregionalairport.ca

Millarville Recreation Board
The Millarville Recreation Board is now accepting applications for funding for non-profit organizations for 2024. Each year the board receives a grant from Foothills County and disperses funds to successful applicants.

In previous years, funding has been provided to local associations, including Millarville Community Library, Millarville Community School, MRAS events, and various 4-H groups.

If you would like to apply for a grant, please email your request to chemguy1@mac.com. Include your group’s proposed 2024 budget and a 2023 financial statement. The deadline for applications is April 30, 2024.

Here is a chance to donate items the elves could use for making gifts. Some items they need right now are:

  • Frames in good repair up to 8 x 10 (glass included)
  • Calendar pictures
  • Decorative cards

Items can be dropped off at the Millarville Racing and Agricultural Society office.
