Hello Diamond Valley Owners/Operators, Residents, and Community Stakeholders:
Attached, please find a link to the current BD Downtown Area Revitalization Plan, as provided to us by Rod Ross, of the Town of Black Diamond.
The DARP “provided a framework for the planning and future development of the Town of Black Diamond’s Downtown. It establishes a vision for what it can become and presents the approach to realize it.”
“One of the stated goals is to Solidify a Soulful Downtown. The DARP includes objectives and policies that align with the stated goals of this economic development plan to help create a downtown that provides multiple housing types, job & business opportunities while maintaining a small town, historical feel.”
The DARP is being presented to the current BD Town Council at the next meeting in November. The Diamond Valley Chamber is looking to host a public forum whereupon business owners/operators
can ask questions in order to more fully understand the implications and timeline of the plan, at a time still to be determined.
In the meantime, please feel free to direct any questions to the Diamond Valley Chamber, and we will put them together either to be forwarded to the Town or fielded at the forum. Further updates will be provided as they happen.
Please also be advised that the DVCC will be hosting an Election Forum where residents can listen and address questions to the confirmed candidates on Monday, November 14th at the Oilfields High School. Time and additional details will be provided as they develop and are confirmed. We welcome everyone to attend and look forward to giving you space and time to ask questions of our potential new Amalgamated Council Members.
