Our used book sale at the Art’s and Music Festival was most successful. The whole weekend was great fun with a good turn out. The only glitch was a terrific wind storm lasting only 20 minutes, but forcing some of the vendors to pack up and leave as their tents and goods were ruined. We were o.k. thankfully
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Trac and Marigold, here is a short explanation.
Trac is the partnership of Marigold Library System, Northern Lights Library System, Peace Library System and Yellowhead Regional Library. Trac is a society established in the late 1990s to cost share and support a library management software system. Using the Tracpac.ab.ca library cardholders can search and borrow items from a catalogue of 180 libraries with a collection of three million books.
A pleasant read is the Latitude of Melt (2002) by Joan Clark, a Canadian living in Newfoundland. It is thoughtful, magical and full of entrancing imagery, written in lyrical prose.
New to the library is This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub.
Happy Reading, Sylvia Binkley
