Highway 22 Road Improvements
The road improvements on Highway 22 south of Highway 549 are nearly done as I write this. Definitely worth the wait!
Foothills County Agricultural Services
Foothills County Agricultural Services is responsible for county roadside vegetation management mainly mowing and brushing. Please be careful passing workers and machinery.
Share the Road
Please be aware of cattle drives on Foothills highways as ranchers begin moving cattle to summer pasture. Of note, cattle drives are expected west on Hwy 549 and Hwy 546.
Also, the movement of farm machinery and equipment is a common occurrence year-round throughout Foothills County.
Be patient and please exercise caution to keep our ranchers and farmers safe!
Millarville Horticultural Club
The Annual plant sale on June 5th was a huge success. As usual, a fantastic selection of plants from the members’ gardens and greenhouses. Arlene Visser and I held the rope and after Jan McLean did the count down, we got out of the way quickly. Thanks to Glenda Bruder who corralled the many, many volunteers and kept us on track. Long time organiser, Jill Dakers, is stepping down from that role, but still came to help things run smoothly. A fun time was had by all!
MRAS – Priddis & Millarville Fair
The 118th Priddis & Millarville Fair is coming soon!

TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If you have always wanted to enter the Fair, just check out all the different classes and start planning your entries. You can enter online or print off the form and take it to the MRAS office. Registration for the 2025 Fair entries opens June 1, 2025.

Foothills Cemetery
Foothills Cemetery is having an Open House on Thursday, July 10 for the public from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Public Unveiling of Valeview will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Unveiling of Memorial Walls at 1:30 p.m.
Foothills County Council
The last Foothills County Council meeting before the summer recess will be on Wednesday, July 2. Council meetings will resume on Wednesday, August 27.
