Bragg Creek Trails – Jun 2026

BCT Trail Talk

Spring conditions have continued to keep trail users on their toes, with periods of heavy wet snow and moisture creating a slower transition into summer. While short‑lived, these weather shifts are something we have become quite accustomed to.

May was a busy month for BCT staff and volunteers as we took advantage of earlier favourable conditions to begin several approved projects. Work is underway on portions of Snowshoe Hare East to reroute a steep hill climb and build a bypass around wetlands that have been on our radar for some time. Huge thanks to the early bird volunteers who jumped in to help make progress happen.

With summer construction and maintenance season now underway, BCT also has a new look on the staffing front.

We’re excited to welcome Will Matthews as our Operations Manager and Karlee Lyon as our Volunteer Coordinator. We look forward to the experience, energy, and fresh perspectives they will bring to the organization and trail community.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
With our annual work plan already underway, we need your help to keep progress moving!

If trails are part of what fuels your connection to the outdoors, trail building and stewardship are an incredible way to give back. Passing by a section of trail you helped build or repair is a feeling like no other.
