We are having a great start to our year at The Little Schoolhouse. Together we are looking forward to a fantastic year of fun collaboration, play, and exploration!
Our Back to School BBQ at the end of September was a success and we had the very special opportunity to honour the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation together. Indigenous Educator Chantal Chagnon graciously shared her heritage and knowledge with us.
Together we were reminded of the importance of community, love and respect through songs, stories, and drumming.
In the spirit of truth and reconciliation The Little Schoolhouse would like to honour, acknowledge, and express gratitude for the opportunity we have to play, explore, and learn on Treaty 7 lands, sacred ancestral lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy including Siksika, Kainai, Pilikani, Wesley, Stoney-Nakoda & Tsuut’ina Nations & Region 3 of the Métis Nations of Alberta.
We respect and honour the voices and lives of all children. We are grateful to our community of the past and present. We feel it is an honour to have the opportunity to shape and share in the lives of all our students at The Little Schoolhouse.
