LEAP DAY SUMMER CAMP

This course will teach students musical theatre skills as they learn the musical Leap Day. All costs including scripts, scores, costumes, props, etc. are included in the registration fee. The course will culminate in a fully staged performance of the musical Leap Day before a live audience on the final day of camp.

Musical Synopsis: Leap Day is inspired by the short story “The Days of the Week” by Hans Christian Andersen. Every Leap Day, the Days of the Week have a day off and celebrate with a huge party at the House of Father Time. However, this Leap Day, nothing goes as planned. The Days feel overworked, demanding an 8th day be added to the week. Tuesday and Friday’s friendship is not what it used to be. And Mother Nature makes a surprising appearance which puts everyone on edge (synopsis from www.bbbpress.com).

Who: This camp is for participants ages 10 years and up (as of July 13, 2026). No prior musical theatre experience is required.

When: July 13-17, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
