Dear High Country Community,
Have you heard the news? The Square Butte Community Association’s Annual General Meeting is shaping up to be a huge volunteer/community appreciation event thanks to a grant from FCSS! So mark your calendars for November 15th because you will not want to miss this fun-filled event. The evening begins with some time to mix and mingle with your neighbors (can you say cash bar and nibblies) followed by a VERY BRIEF meeting where we will reflect on our year, elect a new board of directors and recognize our volunteers. The meeting will be followed by a good ol’ fashioned community dance featuring 33 Union. The best part? Attend the AGM and get into the dance for FREE! (pretty clever aren’t we) Here’s the key details:

Why: In this crazy world, we realize the importance of building community!
Just be aware there is limited seating, so you will want to reserve your free ticket today (see website for details). The only catch is you must arrive before 7:00pm to qualify for the free entrance. Find yourself running late and arrive after the AGM starts and then it’s $30 to enter (we had to think of some way to get people to attend our AGM) Seriously, this could be one of the best AGM’s yet!
And one final thing to consider…Are you needing to add a little more fun in your life? Well, it’s your lucky day! We have a few seats on our Board that are up for grabs but here’s the deal… we are looking for people who have a passion for community and especially people who tend to be creative idea generators, and you can almost be guaranteed a seat if you have loads of energy and a good sense of humor to compliment our awesome team! And if your idea of fun involves over-volunteering then this role is definitely for you!!!! (just kidding….well, sort of;) If you want to infuse your life with some fun and happen to have a little time to contribute each month, then please reach out to be nominated for a Director position today!!!
