The Millarville Stockland 4-H Club is back for another year! We had our first meeting of the year on October 12th 2022 at the Millarville Racetrack Hall. We have 7 Senior Members, 4 Intermediate members, 7 Junior members and 6 Cleavers Kids in our club this year. This year members will be participating in Beef, Sheep, Poultry and Goat Projects.
Our Beef members got their projects started on October 30th with Weigh In of the Steers and Heifers. We want to say a Big THANK YOU to Black Diamond Land and Cattle Company for once again letting us use the scale and facility to weigh and tag our 4-H Beef Projects. Members also had an opportunity to learn to judge heifers; an excellent start to multi- judging for our 4-H members.
Did you know that the Millarville Stockland 4-H Club is over 70 years old?! The Club began in 1949 before 4-H was in Alberta. When 4-H clubs started in 1952 we officially started as a 4-H club. Stay tuned for more adventures from the Millarville-Stockland 4-H Club.
