Longview Library – May 2024

Our library is building a “Library of Things” to add to our collection. A Library of Things is an assortment of non-print items that our patrons could check out and use at home. These items would be ones a patron might not buy for themselves because of cost and storage space.

We are asking for donations of either cash or product to make this possible. Some product ideas are Dehydrating Kits, Wood Burning Kit and Nature Backpack ( binoculars Solar Charger Power Bank, Water Filter Straw System and First Aid Kit. These items would have to be new. We would appreciate any offerings you have.

On April 3rd. Diane Maull, a self published author, gave a talk on How To Get Your Book Published. The occasion was also used to give Celia Dewaine a send off and to wish her good luck.

The seed library is open and tomato and pepper seeds have been most popular so far. Bring your seeds in and share them with others, who will do the same for you.

Lynda, our librarian, has brought in The Women by Kristin Hanna, and the DVD Moving On with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
