There’s Snow Better Time to Read!
Two books that provide pleasant reading are A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles and The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Genoff, author of the Orphan’s Tale. The Gentleman in Moscow is about an aristocrat who is sentenced to house arrest in a five star hotel. The story is full of wit, whimsy, and philosophical musings. Russian history takes up much of the story, and while the hero is confined to a hotel, he meets many fascinating people during his stay.
The Lost Girls of Paris is a remarkable story of the courage and fortitude of three girls who were secret agents during World War 11 in France. It is also a tribute to the power of female friendship.
Happy Reading!
