DIAMOND VALLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD – Oct 2022

Hello everyone, Chamber Members, Diamond Valley Business Owners/ Operators, and Municipal Members alike,

There are a few items that I wanted to touch bases with you all on, so thought I put it all in one email for you to cogitate upon…

**We’re launching our Thirsty (for Knowledge) Thursday Presentation Series this month! With some great guest speakers and topics, we’re hoping this is an excuse for you all to come and mingle, have a drink with some of your colleagues and neighbours to hear about local initiatives, discuss issues that are affecting us as a community, and present ideas for future growth in the business community.

Although we will only be providing juice and soft drinks, feel free to BYOB and have a (responsible) drink at the same time.

No admission fee, or membership to the DVCC is required, we just want to get you all in the same room to have a chat and trade ideas.

October 20th : Black Diamond Elk Ranch : A Foothills Farming Business Model, with Steve Koeckhoven

All events start a 7pm and are being held at Murray Rodger’s downstairs studio, located at 151 3rd St NE, Black Diamond, the same place as our Musical Event in April, earlier this year, across from Timmy’s, beside Fired Up Auto.

**We are currently updating our Membership List on the DiamondValleyChamber.ca website, and would like to include our Member Business logos this time. If you could send us a png or jpg graphics file, and a short description of your business, and confirm your website address, that would be super, and of great help in promoting you as DV Chamber Member Businesses.

**We have been discussing putting together a Member-to-Member discount program, which may be of interest to some of you. This would go hand-in-hand with us issuing DVCC Membership Cards, so I encourage you to come to our next meeting on October 4th, 7 pm at 151 3rd St NE, Black Diamond (across from Timmy’s, beside Fired Up Auto) if you’d like to get involved in that discussion, find out more, or be a part of the program.

Collaboration and Engagement are important keys to our continued growth as vibrant and prosperous communities, especially as we are on the eve of Amalgamation here in the Diamond Valley. By meeting and speaking with other business owners/operators and municipal stakeholders, we can develop opportunities and inspire each other. If you’re not already a member of the DV Chamber, please at least consider joining in on some of our events. We’re Here to Help…

You can also find information on the Chamber and our events on our Facebook page, @ Diamond Valley Chamber, or online, DiamondValleyChamber.ca

Have a super week, and we hope to see you in the near future!

Diamond Valley Chamber Administrator
