Diamond Valley/Longview

DIAMOND VALLEY CHAMBER – Oct 2024

Hello, Colleagues and Neighbours,

My name is Todd Bruneski, and I serve as Vice-President on the Board of Directors with the Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce. Having had to re-group we’re once again ready to serve the communities of Diamond Valley, Longview, Millarville and Priddis.

The chamber board will be meeting at the Sheep River Library on Tuesday, October 8th at 7pm to finalize our priorities between now and the end of the year.

One guiding principle will be that the Chamber of Commerce does not exist for itself, but for the benefit of local business and community leaders.

Promoting local businesses and community groups through our Chamber web site is something that we will work on right away. Promoting events that spotlight our businesses and community groups, such as Light Up Diamond Valley, will also be part of our work.

People choose to join a local Chamber of Commerce for various reasons…

  • Some just want access to the excellent benefits coverage for employers and employees through the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan. Todd & Tammy Williams are the local advisors for the plan.
  • Some also want to help to cultivate a healthy, resilient community where business and community leaders have some knowledge of who local leaders are and what their business or group is about. These relationships can foster collaboration and support within the community.
  • Adding the endorsement of a Chamber of Commerce to your brand helps to build trust and credibility with potential customers/clients.
  • We hope to be in conversation with local municipal government to have a collective voice in planning priorities, economic development, and other decisions that affect local business and community groups.

Membership renewals will be coming, and we hope to see many of you at our annual general meeting in January. Please consider how you as a business owner can serve your local community.

Sincerely, Todd Bruneski
