Foothills County – Special Events Bylaw
Staff presented Council with a draft of a new bylaw for the regulation of Special Events in Foothills County and proposed amendments to the Land Use Bylaw pertaining to Special Events. Special Events will be subcategorized either minor or major special events as well as Private or Public. Special Events currently have to have to go through both a Development Permit and the subsequent licensing process. The proposal will require either a Development Permit or a Special Event Licence, but not both. Council gave 1st reading to the new Special Events Bylaw and Land Use Bylaw.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff in all the departments at Foothills County for all their hard work in 2023! What a wonderful team we have!
Wishing you all a very happy and safe 2024!
