BUSINESS LAUNCH PROGRAM – Jul 2024

BUSINESS LINK ANNOUNCES NEW “BUSINESS LAUNCH PROGRAM” TO EMPOWER ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS IN ALBERTA

Business Link, a provincial support organization for entrepreneurs, is excited to announce the launch of its newest initiative, the Business Launch Program, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial success by offering essential guidance, resources, and fundamental business principles to prospective entrepreneurs. This program is designed to provide personalized support and action-oriented education to help participants actively engage and maximize their learning potential.

The Business Link team says the program is tailored for individuals in the early stages of their business journey, as well as those with a business idea seeking guidance to move forward. The program is perfect for committed individuals ready to turn their idea into a sustainable small business.

“We understand that starting a business usually begins with a single idea, but determining if that idea can really take off requires the right support and resources,” said Matt Hill, Director of Client Services and Operations at Business Link.

Participants will embark on a transformative three to six-week journey, featuring three 45-minute video sessions held weekly or bi-weekly. Throughout the program, they will gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles necessary to start a business, complete a valuable guidebook for further business development, and access additional entrepreneurship-related tools and resources. Each participant will also establish a meaningful relationship with a dedicated Business Strategist for ongoing support and guidance.

“This new program will enable participants to validate their business idea and equip themselves with the essential tools for success” continued Hill.

By the end of the program, participants will have a readiness to get started on their business journey. They will be able to define their business concept, conduct market research, learn about financing options, develop a financial plan, and create a comprehensive business model.

The Business Link team says for anyone interested in applying to the Business Launch Program, you must fill out the intake form on the website. A Business Strategist will then confirm your enrollment and session dates, followed by a review of essential assignments and an introduction to your dedicated Business Strategist. To access the program, you must be in the early stages of developing a business plan and idea, based in Alberta, and able to commit to three weekly or bi- weekly 45-minute sessions.

The initial goal is to reach over 200 participants for the inaugural year. For more information about the Business Launch Program or to apply, please visit https://businesslink.ca/programs/business-launch-program/.
