BEFORE we turn the calendar to February Bragg Creek’s Winter in the Woods festival is on! This fun-filled day celebrates everything winter plus raises funds for our cherished outdoor rink. Join us for our 5th annual event on January 31st!
Winter in the Woods is all about community, winter magic, and fun activities that bring us together to celebrate the season. With hockey games, human curling, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, crackling fires, and the infamous Chuck- A-Puck, this event has become a beloved Bragg Creek tradition. We are pleased to introduce Kristie Bell to Bragg Creek. Kristie joined the BCCA as Operational Manager earlier in January and has been busy getting to know the Centre and all the great people in our community. Stop by the Centre anytime, say Hi and welcome her into the fold.
You may be aware of the winter programming at the Centre, like Rumble & Roar, Pickleball, and Artsy Afternoon, but did you know that we have some talented community members who are excited to share their skills? Keep an eye out for Spanish lessons, creative writing sessions, and fitness classes run by locals!
If this is news to you, maybe a membership at the BCCA would help you plug in. Your membership includes monthly emails giving you all the inside info. Purchase or renew your membership online via the website, or stop by the Centre in person. For just $40/year (or less!) you too will be in the know.
Our community centre is a versatile venue able to host events large and small. We have space and time for all sorts of groups needing to get together for work, social, or sporting events. Weddings, meetings, and birthday parties are just the start. Keep us in mind this year if you have need or hear of someone who does.
