Bragg Creek/Redwood Meadows

Bragg Creek Centre – Apr 2023

BCCA

Let’s get busy! Time to breathe in deeply and energize ourselves inside and out with Spring freshness and colour.

Bragg Creek knows how to party! A bit of snow (well … a lot really) and the cool temps hanging in there didn’t stop our crowd from a Beach Party right here at the Community Centre! Thank you Skuzzy & The Woodticks – We Love You! Special appreciation to Peggy Rupert, Lisa Johnston, Rose Dallyn, Tanya Kamachi, Sher Hayes and the Bragg Creek Ladies Auxiliary. A heartfelt “Thank You” to the BCCA Staff and all the tremendous volunteers who set it up, took it down and partied with the lot of them. Check out our social media for fun photos – you may be in one of them!

Wow, talk about a great turnout! 80 eager artists signed up for our David Zimmerman’s Paint Night on March 31st and our event sold out FAST! Not only is David a talented artist that shares his love of the craft, he also serves the Bragg Creek Family Church. He is well known across Canada and into the US so it’s no wonder he drew a crowd. All proceeds for this event will go to support “Hands at Work”, aiming to bring hope and healing to the most vulnerable children in the poorest of the poor communities in Africa.

While you are freshening up your kitchen drawers, sorting through the storage closet or outside hauling junk out from under the snow, check out what’s in store for you at the Community Centre. We are busy making it happen and want to see you out and about.

Of course, we still have all your favourites like Pickleball (new session added), Yoga and Artsy Afternoons. Rumble and Roar is rolling into spring and having a ball. Ask us for info and join in anytime.

The Multi-Sport & Touch Rugby classes were so popular we are creating a summer program! We will be hosting two Rugby Canada Youth Groups in July. More on that as soon as we can.

Out on the streets there is dry pavement and, on the trails, there is fresh ground making a showing. Let’s get out there and check out the new shops that have opened their doors and pay a visit to those who made it through. They’ve been busy and definitely worth a look see.

Stop by the Community Centre anytime to see how we can help you get energized and pass it on to your neighbours. Let’s look for the opportunities and seek out the thrills. Soon the colours of Spring will take over and bring us along for the ride.

Happy Easter to all.
