HI! Our names are Xayden & Adam. We are 10 year olds that are trying to take away your boredom. We are writing an article about Blue Pit Vipers!
- Their fangs can grow up to five cm. Or 2 inches.
- They enjoy eating small mammals, birds, amphibians, lizards and eggs.
- They swallow their prey whole once it is dead!
- They live in the rainforest and the deserts in southeast Asia.
- The maximum length they can grow up to is 12 feet long!
- Their venom can make you bleed inside and outside the body, so your blood cells start to pop!
- They give live birth to their young.
- They kill their victim with their venom. It takes 10 minutes to kill their victim if not rushed to hospital. The wound will have a chance of being fatal.
- The blue pit viper can see very well in the dark! Be Careful if you want to see them at night.
- When they are babies they eat rat tails.
- Pit vipers are the largest group of snakes in the world.
- Blue pit vipers fangs are at the front of their mouth!
- Viper’s strike open mouthed in self defence.
- Blue pit vipers can swim! Because they can swim you have to be careful in water.
- Blue pit vipers pupils let in light!
- Blue pit vipers can sense heat their heat sensors are in between the eye and nostril. They can sense where you are.
- The blue pit vipers fangs are hollow!
- Blue pit vipers can use their heat sensors to help find their prey!
- Blue pit vipers don’t poop.
- Predators of the blue pit viper are king cobra.
- Blue pit vipers move really quick. eyes, is because their venom is stored in their eyes!
- Blue pit vipers don’t use camouflage.
- They shed their skin. Their colors stay the same after they shed their skin!
- Blue pit vipers have multi colored eyes!
