Alberta 55 plus – Apr 2023

55 PLUS GAMES

Hi Folks,

Here’s the latest list of opportunities to show your kids and grandkids that you’re not ready to kick the bucket quite yet.

For the uninitiated, out Alberta 55 Plus format  emphasizes Fun & Social interaction, not just Competition.

And we ensure play is amongst your peers, so 60 year olds do not have to compete with 80 your olds.

Our youngest age grouping is 55 plus, our oldest is 85 plus.

Quebec City hosts the next Canada 55 Plus Games in August 2024.

If you’d like to enjoy Canada’s oldest city with us, you must first qualify at the Zone level, then at the Provincial level. You can do it!

The AB 55 Plus Summer Games will be held August 17-20, 2023 in Brooks, AB.

Zone 2 Qualifiers are listed below. Details will be sent out four weeks before each qualifier with pertinent information including how to register.

Check out the website, alberta55plus.ca (we’re under the “Zone 2” tab).

Take a look at the upcoming event qualifiers. The deadline for entry into the next one, floor shuffleboard, is March 18.

Our zone – administered by Big Country Seniors Sports Society, BCSSS, – stretches east to west from the SK to BC borders, With Sundre, Olds, Three Hills being our northern boundary, and Longview, High River, Gleichen, then east along the South Saskatchewan River being our Southern boundary.

Hoping to hear from many of you. Suggestions, criticisms, always welcome.
