My name is Sheila and as president of the volunteer library board, I want to tell you a bit about what’s going on at your community library.
Did you even know there’s a great little library in our hamlet at the west end of the school? Watch for signage coming to help you find us even better. Feel free to pop in and say hello. We have the most amazing and passionate volunteers who are ready to help you discover your next favorite book. You can find our info at millarvillelibrary.ca
What is your favorite book? Can you tell us about it in a few sentences? We’ll add your review to our column. Please email us at amclibrary@millarvillelibrary.ca
Keep an eye out for information regarding an upcoming new book club coming soon!!
The Millarville Historical Society has a display in the front entrance of the library. Lots of interesting artifacts and info for you to view. They can be reached at millarvillehistoricalsociety.ca
If you have an idea for or a wish about an event the library could host, please reach out. We’re always interested in what the community wants and needs. In 2025 we hosted a couple events through the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) that were well received and we are planning to do more this year. Keep checking in at the library and on our social media pages for upcoming events. New artists will be displaying their work, authors are going to come give talks and readings. Whoot whoot!! Lots going on. Check in and often!!
Free hugs to anyone who wants to join our library board! Did that get your attention? Great! Do you believe in the good that libraries do? Do you see the value and worth of having a library in your community? Do you have a spare hour or so every other month from September to June? If so, please consider joining our board. Drop by or contact the library at 403-931-3919 for more information. I promise I will get back to you as soon as possible and of course, thank you so much for your interest!!
Please keep checking in here and at the library for news and events.
Thank you for reading all this. Much appreciated! Hope to see you soon!
Kindly, Sheila H.
