Camping Fun!
In July, six ‘happy campers’ enjoyed the Springbank Heritage Club group camping experience in Nanton. The diverse range of loosely scheduled activities included a dip in the Sheep River after a bike ride in Okotoks, golfing at the local Nanton 18-hole course, Happy Hours and shared dinners at the campsite, exploring the town with its antique shops, ice cream parlours, candy store, coffee shops, and art galleries (even though there was a county- wide power outage that lasted for several hours). We toured the Bomber Command Museum and Grain Elevator Museum, did some yoga at the campsite, and were entertained at an open-air music jam at the campground’s bandshell. We plan on a similar excursion next year.
