I am a third Generation Albertan. Here are some good reasons for Not joining the USA.
- The cost of joining the USA is 50% of our Royalties will go to the US federal Government through the American Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Reference (www.blm.gov or www.doi.gov>oci>blm-policies-and priorities)
- The Second amendment. The right to bare arms. Give every idiot the right to carry a fire arm.
- Private health care. From my son who is living in the USA pays $1,700US / month or ($2,361Canadian) for decent health care.
- 24-hour bombardment of health ads and political ads as there in an election every 2 years.
The BLM is a branch of the Federal US Government that claims 50% of all royalties and profit from crown lands including mineral rights that states acquire in the US.
So, by all means promote the annexation of Canada to the US and give away 50% of Alberta royalties.
Also add to the list Revenue from:
- Timber from all Crown Lands
- Potash from Saskatchewan
- Electricity from BC, ON, QP, and any others that supply electricity form Crown corporations.
