Marigold has been directed by the Municipal Affairs Public Library Services to remove the Pronunciation Language Learning app. from our e-resources. They are working to find another to replace it.
Lynda has moved the audio books and junior graphic novels to make them more accessible.
We are planning to have the Children’s Summer Reading Program again this year. It is called “Everybuddy’s Reading” because each child is given a furry soft animal to adopt and to read to over the summer months, reporting to Lynda as they go along.
We will be having our used book sale on Longview Daze, July 19th. and 20th.
New books in are: The Paris Express by Emma Donoguhue, The Orphanage by the Lake by Daniel Millar, and The Grey Wolf by Louise Penny.
A long, lazy and lovely summer read is the Josephine Story by Sandra Gulland. It follows the life of Josephine from her childhood to her marriage to Napoleon Bonaparte. It is written in a fictionalized journal format and weaves history and romance in a charming and informative way.
