NATURAL ASSETS – YOURS TO PROTECT – Re-Imagining Bragg Creek – PART II

On October 23rd, Bragg Creek Wild will present “Bragg Creek’s Natural Assets – Yours to Protect,” facilitated by Guy Greenaway of the Corvus Centre for Conservation Policy. Building on Dr. Brad Stelfox’s presentation last May (“Re-Imagining Bragg Creek: Past, Present, Future”), Guy will walk us through the concepts discussed above and lead discussion exercises to help us understand what are the ‘natural assets’ in our area and what is needed to preserve them.

As the Area Structure Plan for the Greater Bragg Creek Area is being developed, local residents will need to understand these concepts, what they mean, and how they can be applied. The community needs to understand how to articulate and share the natural features they value and their desires for conserving those ‘assets’.

A report will follow the October 23rd presentation and will be shared with the whole of Bragg Creek.
