Winter is just around the corner and the PCA is calling for Volunteers to clear snow from walkways around the west side entrance to the pre-school of the Priddis Hall in the early morning on days when we have snowfall overnight. A path to the front entrance on the deck also needs to be cleared. If you are available to help, please contact Scott Rand, email: randscott@mac.com.

Join us at the Priddis Hall for our Fall Turkey Supper on November 10th. Celebrating our 70th anniversary. Doors open at 4:30 till 8:00pm. The cost is $15.00 for adults and children 13 and older, 6-12 are $5.00 and under 6 years are free. Looking for lots of volunteers. Contact Carmen Heinen at 403.931.3875. Donations of pies and desserts are appreciated.

The next Men’s Breakfast is on Saturday, November 11th. Join your neighbours and friends at the Priddis Hall from 8:30 – 11:00 am for fellowship and a hearty breakfast. e cost is $6.00/person.

Parent & Tot Coffee Morning: Come out and meet at Jane’s Café in the Priddis Mall for 9:30 am with the kids and enjoy a relaxing beverage. e next date is Wednesday, November 15th. If you are new to our community with a young family, this is a great way to get to know your neighbours and nd out what programs are available in the Priddis area. is event is also listed on the PCA website, www.priddis.org. The Annual General Meeting is on Thursday, November 16th at 7:00 pm. We are looking for nominations as some positions will be vacant on the Board. All current members are invited to a end. Refreshments will be served.

The Chicken Supper at the Hall is on Friday, Nov. 24th starting at 5:30. No ticket sales at the door as they will be pre- sold only. They are $17.00 each, $15.00 for seniors and children under 6 years of age are free. Tickets can be purchased at the Priddis Store. For more information, contact Jackie at 403.931.1054.

Turkey Bingo: Come out and try your luck at Turkey Bingo on Saturday November 25th. Doors open at 6:30 and play begins at 7 pm. Adult admission is $5.00 and includes 2 cards. Kids under 12 receive one card with $1.00 admission. Additional cards are $0.50 each up to a maximum of 8 cards. Old fashioned cards are used so no bingo dabbers are required. Prizes include turkeys, hams and chocolates, etc. Popcorn, co ee and pop are included in the admission fee. For more information, contact Sue Dunne at 403.931.3452.

1st Priddis Scouts Fall Activities: Registration night was in September. If you were unable to a end, you can still join the Scouts. They meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm at the Hall. Lots of activities for this fall including a Halloween party on October 25th, hall camp out, hiking and Remembrance Day ceremonies Honour Guard at School. Priddis Early Learning Program (PELP): The 3-year-old program runs on Tuesday and ursday mornings from 9-11am. The 4-year-old program is on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9-11:30am. Priddis Panthers Hockey League is a non-contact, no slap shot league, with week night practices, and Saturday games only. Hockey begins in October and runs until a year end tournament in March, played on both outdoor and indoor ice. e objective is: let all kids play hockey for the fun of the game. is season 99 kids registered so there are 7 teams. With the increase in numbers, practice days and times are Monday to ursday from 6:00 to 8:30. Helmets must be worn. Because of the popularity last season, the Men’s Shinny Night will be Tuesdays at 8:30. Both women and men are welcome. Contact Joey Duzlemic at priddishockey@gmail.com. or 403.891.4766.

Priddis Library: The Priddis Library in the old-school house is open on Monday, Tuesday and ursdays from 3:00 to 5:00. anks to Arlene, Geraldine and Carol for volunteering their time to keep the Library operational for the community. Drop by to borrow a book or donate your used books.

PCA Membership now due: It’s that time of year again to get your PCA Membership for the 2017 – 2018 season. e Membership Form and Business Membership Forms are found on the website on the Publications Page under Community Membership. Print o and mail in the completed form or drop it o at the Priddis Store. Just below the Membership Forms drop-down, you will see a ‘Subscribe’ bu on. Another payment option is now available, PayPal. Use PayPal for memberships or donations to Multi-Purpose Building Fund.
