DESCRIPTION:Join our youth musical theatre course participants at Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre in Bragg Creek for our production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr.! \nSYNOPSIS: \nRebellion is nigh in Matilda Jr.\, a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination!  This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.\nMatilda has astonishing wit\, intelligence… and special powers!  She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher\, the highly loveable Miss Honey.  Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing\, however – the school’s mean headmistress\, Miss Trunchbull\, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules.  But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts\, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace (synopsis from www.mtishows.com).\nRoald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).  All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. \nPRODUCTION INFORMATION: \nPlease note that all tickets are for rush seating.\nTheatre doors open 30 minutes before showtime.\nThis musical is suitable for audience members of all ages.\nRun time is approximately 1 hour. \nPERFORMANCES \nNovember 20 to 22\, 2026\n1.      Friday\, November 20\, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.\n2.      Saturday\, November 21\, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.\n3.      Saturday\, November 21\, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.\n4.      Sunday\, November 22\, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. \nTickets available at swampdonkeytheatre.ca
