It’s always too soon until it’s too late!
Saturday, April 18, 2020, 1:30 pm – 4 pm at Kerby Centre, Lecture Room, 1133 – 7th Avenue SW, Calgary
This workshop gets you started on a task that is generally put off. Why wait? Planning now is the best way to ensure you have the medical treatment you want and the end-of-life care you deserve when you are suddenly unable to speak for yourself. Develop a basis for conversations with your family about your personal values and healthcare wishes. Draft your own plan and Personal Directive and realize who would and would not be an appropriate agent for you. As well, hear a personal story about this topic from Nicole Maseja, a widow at age 26.
Saturday, April 25, 2020, 1pm – 4 pm at Kerby Centre. This is a follow-up session on End-of-Life Information You Need to Know, with presentations by Alberta Health Services. Goals of Care and your personal Green Sleeve will be presented by Alexandra Kushliak, AHS Education Consultant. Also Emergency Medical Services and Palliative End-of-Life Care protocols are presented by EMT paramedic Ian McEwan. Personal story with Frances Ward..
